Hey Jerry,

How about since you like the beatles so much, you could maybe do a lesson in their style? I never really play the beatles but the only song I really have is Daytripper.

Hi preownedguitar,
I need a Rickenbacker guitar for this!! biggrin.gif
Sure, I love The Beatles and I will do a lesson as soon as possible.
Their guitar parts are quite simple (but brilliant) and they have covered different styles.
Do you have some other songs as reference, beyond Day Tripper?

Like, Blackbird, Here comes the sun, Yesterday, Come together, While my guitar gently weeps. All that good stuff smile.gif
Kristofer Dahl
Yes would be awesome - it's a style we don't have much of! biggrin.gif

The two solos that generally are mentioned for the Beatles are...

1) And Your Bird Can Sing - from Yesterday and Today I believe, what was originally the "Butcher Album"

2) As My Guitar Gently Weeps - of which people are disappointed to find out that is not George Harrison

edit: George played the first, John wrote the solo. I am not sure if George wrote the solo to the 2nd. I expect that he did, it sounds more like his style than Clapton's

1) And Your Bird Can Sing" is released on Revolver in the UK and on Yesterday...and Today in the U.S.

2) I love "While My Guitar..." and I've made a lesson over its chord progression. Maybe a little modern solo smile.gif ...

I have felt that Revolver was as good as Rubber Soul. Although critics usually give the nod to the latter. But I do remember hearing a Beatle, either George or Paul, feeling as I do. With Bird on it, provided all else is there, I would even give it the nod.
