I recently downloaded the tab for the live version of GnR's Knockin' on Heaven's Door - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhCM88LhoW0 and was doing ok until halfway through the second solo from around 3:12 - 3:20 (foot stamping bit ) in the video posted above. I'm not sure what Slash is doing here or how he gets this sound. Anyone have any idea on how to do this?

That seems to be a lot of double stops, hit as hard as possible it seems

The last few licks are basically some very popular pentatonic licks. Something like this.
