I know it can plug into an electric and an acoustic amp at the same time. Have you ever done this as I'm considering buying an acoustic amp to do the mix of the two to improve my sound on clean sections.

Cheers

Yes, I have tried it and it sounds great!
The only thing ois that you need a Y shape cable. The newer models however will allow you to plug into 2 amps without that Y cable I think.

I got a Y cable with my guitar so do you think I should consider getting an acoustic amp as well?

Hadn't thought of that. Sounds like an interesting idea. My brother in law has a nice tube acoustic amp...I wonder if he'd let me borrow for a while.

I think about blending electric and acoustic occasionally. Came across Michael Kelly's "Hybrid" guitar (http://www.michaelkellyhybrid.com/main_page.html) and thought that fit, but I don't think I'm up for buying yet another guitar yet.
