There are few options actually.
To be honest,I never used metronome in my life which is surely a big mistake,
probably I wasted few years playing sloppy,rhythmic wise.
If you're using backing track that's fine,you have drum,bass and everything else.
However I would practice with metronome also to get more steady beat "inside".
But if you are playing over main video along with me,well that might be a problem,
you hear both you and me and it's hard to trace mistakes,if there are any.
So go for backing track and metronome.
Also be sure to record yourself and listen,that's great way to improve things.
