Hi Muris,

I wanted to share with you again one of my result of practicing your lessons.

This lessen was quite frustrating sometimes. It seems to be easy at first, but it is actually quite difficult to play it clean and still add some dynamic. I was just not able to make it sound interesting. Especially the bands were giving me hard time ..

Even if it's maybe not perfect by now, i learned so much already on this lesson about different phrasing technics and phrasing in general.

If you got the time, i would love to hear your opinion about this take and maybe you have some advises as there are always really helpful.

Only few small details to look for in this lesson,
at 00:22 you have bend on G string,14th fret.
Just keep it little bit longer,that note should sing more.

There was small choke at 00:45 but you are aware of that I guess.

As for vibrato I thought I was great!

Oh,one another thing,try with thumb at the beginning for Bm7 chord,
you'll benefit a lot from it latter on.

The small details are for a "foreign" listener almost inhearble I'd say. I for one didn't notice them.

Yes, at 00:22 .. it's a long way down after to the 2. fret .. i'm often in the hurry there it's true.
At 00:45, yes, i play this a little different as in the lesson. It turned out like this over the time ..

I never really use the thumb to play the lower strings. I have seen you do that quite often, but what is really the advantage?

Advantage of thumb is that you have 5 fingers in use.
Some things (chords specially) are almost impossible to play without thumb.
And this 00:22 issue, I think you had one extra move there,
like sliding up and down on low E which takes your time
to perform that banded note on G string.

I will give the thumb are try, i think my classical guitar education was setting my mind to avoid the thumb
Maybe it could help for muting as well as all finger are more flat on the strings.

Yes, all those slides i do really often, i have noticed that. This is something i learned in this lesson as well, to reduce stuff like this to gain time and to concentrate more on each note, but at this place i couldn't help it i guess .. too bad that it cuts the note on the G string.

I'm working on so many lessons of you in parallel, i hope you will not loose patience with my uploads anytime soon. Each time i try to integrate more advices you gave me. Thank you so much this !!!

I had same issues during music high school,
I used thumb for even some classical pieces and teacher went mad
But it's good for muting as well,just like you said!

Time duration of each note is VERY important in music,
some players do not pay attention to that which
usually leads to less music in their playing

And do not worry about tons of your uploads AT ALL!

I think i need a better camera, my webcam is ok, but there are missing so many frames and it's blured ... and i need ages to synchronize sound and video.

No problem at all.

Actually I think your cam is pretty descent for this use,
it's just sync that might be out a bit.

Great take wrk. You should be very pleased with it. I'm practising this lesson (among others) at the moment and I'm finding the bends with vibrato a challenge. I'll upload my take on it when I'm happy with the timing, phrasing and vibrato ...maybe a few weeks.

Great, you are working on it as well .. i have started this lesson when it was published in April, so quite long. I never got this right and i didn't know why ..

Just a little suggestion: the bends are tricky, but i have noticed that the little 3 note legato part (trill) just before each long bends are quite important to make the final bend sound well. Don't know why, but suddenly it was easier. Maybe it's working for you as well ..

You'r feel is incredible man

I love that Strat! ...something about a vintage guitar, you can see it's been "down the road". Tone is great too. Of course most of that comes from your fingers and some from the amp/recording too. I can hear the character of that guitar.

Your playing is inspirational man. Keep doing what you're doing.
