yesterday my friend had a birthday.
and i had to quickly improve "happy birthday to you" ballad style. not that it was so difficult to take 5 notes and bend and vibrato the heck out of them but it made me think of making a list of things that every guitarist should know and play.

i need your help because the only things that come to mind is

'happy birthday to you" emotional ballad style.
stairway to heaven's solo
o holy night(luckily we have it here marcus style)
nothing else matters

any more ideas? i think in a couple of days we will have the official guitarist must knows

I can add a lot of songs on this list, but this differs from player to player. Not all players share the same repertoire (it is based mostly on their musical aspirations). Also high level professional players do know a lot of standards in all styles, and can read scores on the spot so there's no need to really know all tunes by heart.
