Thanks!!

I don't know the slow blues lesson in B, could you get me the link from that one please?

Thanks Ivan, I forgot I could do a 'Save Target As...' to save the backing tracks to my PC. Anyway, it's done!
Here's the link to the other lesson:

Hi Ivan,
Could I just ask a question with regard to my REC videos?
I don't use YouTube, but I've created a subscription, and worked out how to upload my videos.
How do I embed the video into my REC post?
Do I use the 'embed' link on the YouTube page that my video is on, and if so what size do I make it, etc, and how do I 'instruct' it to appear in my post on the GMC forum? These might seem like dumb questions but I haven't done this before!
Alternatively, there are some instructions on YouTube for embedding video, and one seems to say that if you put the 'embed code' directly into the forum post, it will appear there. The format seems to be
[YouTube:embed_code]
where the embed_code is the last part of the URL of the Youtube video. Is that the easiest way to do this?

Thanks for your help,
Kevin. huh.gif

Just copy the embed link and paste it here in your post, it should be displayed as on YT mate.

Cheers,

Thankyou!

By the way, I tried videoing myself playing the 'Blues Soloing - Beginner' yesterday. I can play the thing perfectly without trying when I'm just playing along with the lesson video, but as soon as I pushed the camera button to record, everything went out the window. I must have tried 30 times, but screwed it up every time, although towards the end, I almost had it.
I think I must be suffering from a version of 'stage fright'!!
I'll stick at it though, as I know I can do it! I guess once I've completed one video, the next one will be easier!
It must be some kind of psychological barrier, knowing that people will be watching you play 'live'.
I guess it's all part of the learning process! I did play in a cover band a few years back, and the nerves before the gig are just terrible. Once you've done a couple of songs though, the audience is forgotten and it becomes great fun. Didn't expect the same to happen playing alone in my bedroom though!!!

ps My camera records .MOV files. Is this format ok for REC? Please say Yes!!!!!!

Spot on mate! smile.gif Everything comes with time, and I ensure you - you will only get better and better at everything, just keep recording and practicing. It is very normal to make mistakes when you record, it happens often! smile.gif
I think .mov is OK mate, you have to upload it to YT, and I think YT accepts .mov, check it out.

Let me know if you need anything! Cheers smile.gif

Hi Ivan,

I was wondering if you could post the backing track for "can't stop"?

thanks,
Phil

I'm afraid not mate. We are not allowed to post backing tracks for famous song lessons because of copyright laws.

Feel free to post a new topic in the future when asking for backing tracks.
