Hi Muris,

I just began working on your alternate workout lesson and have a simple question. When you switch to aprpeggios in the third video the first pattern is 11th fret E string and then 12th to 9th fret on the B string. I notice that you play this pattern without your pinky.. for me it feels more natural to use my pinky. Is this a case of " do what feels best" or would you suggest following the technique as shown in the video?

Thanks much~
Gary

Hello Gary.

The reason why I played G#m arpeggio without pinky
perhaps has nothing to do with pinky actually.
I wanted to keep same finger on high E string for both arpeggios, the middle finger.
At that moment maybe I found it easier to keep middle finger on high E
for both G#m and D#m arpeggios but that is NOT a rule.
If you feel more natural to use pinky, ring and index for G#m then go ahead, why not!
And in video 4 I'm playing C#m arpeggio with same pattern but I used pinky.
So as I said it has nothing to do with pinky
but with things that we have before or after certain arpeggio.

And answer to your question is to play whatever feels natural to you,
if you want it with pinky, ring and index than that's the one, no doubt. smile.gif
