Chop Suey, BYOB, ATWA. These would be my suggestions. I donīt know much from them, but I like their music.

Looking very forward to the series!

they are my favorite band, i know almost every one of their songs, i would recommend if there is a series you do one lesson for each album, because there style varies a ton from album to album
the first is solid heavy metal
second is nu metal
3 sucs really
4,5 more progressive

song names mmm
toxicity, attack , question! , aerials opening riff is nice if you can take the concept and make it more interesting

hi lian,
the first lesson of the series sounds great, realy soadish thogh i thoght one element was missing that is in almost every one of their songs is very fast power chord switches like in toxicity or chop suey due to darons drop c tuning.
and one request which is pretty selfish so i dont know, do it only if you feel like its fun and good for other people but a system of a down style solo would be nice because i have to write one and im in a writers block, so a solo you would use for chop suey or toxicity(its very hard to write nu metal solos because well there arnet many to hear and take example from)
all i got so far is that its should be a melodic and not a shreddy solo because i heard daron in an interview saying he doesnt like solos where you hit a 1000 notes per minute(i think its because he cant play that fast baked(doped up) but its only a guess) and he likes to use tremomlo picking sometimes.

oh and in song suggestion i think one of the best all round system songs is forest so maybe it can make a nice lesson

just sharing my research so far lol, daron way over uses the question answer thing at his songs for example at the start of question or at the shot toxicity solo near the end where he plays something clean or quite a few ocatves up with the bass drumms himself or even the singer and than playes it much heavier
