Asking here is always better - since more people can read my reply I will give questions on this board a higher priority!

I have recently bought a new camera (Canon XH A1) - which I used in the A loner video. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to set up good lighting conditions. Therefore I relied on daylight which has the big disadvantage that you cannot really control the clouds - and you get inconsistent video quality.

With better lighting - you could actually get much better results with a cheap HD camera...just as with the guitar, it's all in the technique!
