If you want to check out the new video chat - do the following:

* Make sure you are logged on to the forum ( It should say "Logged in as: ..." in the upper left corner)

* click this link

IMPORTANT: Only the isntructor (me in this case) will be shown on video, students will communicate using text!

If for some reason the chat doesn't work for you let us know about it and we hope to have it fixed for the next video chat session!

notes:

- some members needed to reload the page (not the video player! whole page) to get the stream moving again
- gmc watermark needs to move farther away from the guitar neck
- everything else works great so far
- forum software is reading use of the OLD chat client and does NOT read use of the video client in the "members in chat"

The video chat was awesome! A whole new experience to have your questions answered face to face... well at least face to chat

For me there were no connections problems, only a few very rarely appering lags. Audio and Video were totaly synchronized.

I am looking forward to more video chat sessions!

Here's a small screen that I got from video chat, although it is still in the beta phase, I couldn't help in putting it on the topic, hope it's alright

i loved this tonight, was really fun and makes for an enjoyable interactive lesson, a change from stoping and repeating lesson videos... I enjoyed talking to kris and it actually felt like a 1 on 1 lesson but in a room full of people lol.

thanks for this great new feature. maybe recording the Live videos and posting them would be a good idea, for any questions you could just add text to the video before the explanation comes along

I had a fair bit of lag, but it wasnt much and when it did appear, i got to see kris paused... which when done at the right point is fairly funny

I will sneak in yet a little video chat session tonight - in about ~25 minutes, right after David Wallimann is finished in the chat.

Also I want to apologise in advance for not having fixed my haircut yet - as promised lats time!

another note:
- both chat clients are experiencing horrendous (over 20 seconds) latency just for text messages right now. Latency for clients in a variety of places geographically so I don't think it's our internet connections

... unless someone knows if there's something new affecting the entire internet today? New worm or something?
