From October if you don't have GMC paid subscription you will not be able to participate in MTP. I hope those of you who don't have it will resolve it very soon as end of the month is getting near. I would hate to loose any of you because of 7,8$ a month

Well i have an active subscription so there should be no problem at all By the way to work with you (for whatever i pay for gmc, i don't know it right now) is such an big oppotunity to become a better guitarist so it's worth the money!!

Ok guys. I will lock all your threads now and open new ones. We will switch to new system with weekly assignments (3 assignments this month). From next month we will also incorporate REC submission in your assignments so stay tuned.

Guys I will open your new threads with weekly assignments tomorrow. Thank you for being patient, I have been very busy with some weeding celebrations I have been attending in last 3 days.

Guys 13 assignments have been posted so far. Andy (wrk), Andru (coffeeman) have stopped with their GMC activities. Sondre does not have time to dedicate to MTP program and is stepping out. That makes it 2 more assignments left. I will post those by the end of the day. Please do your best to do the work as if you don't there will be consequences and not very fortunate ones.

Solle, Yoav, Pierre, Zen and Filipe... I thought you were allowed to start from November to study with me. Unfortunately rules state that you guys can join my MTP program from December. It was my bad and fault, I hope you forgive me. I am very happy that you already got to your 1st assignments and did awesome. It shows that you are very enthusiastic about whole process, I love that. Can't wait to start working more in depth with you guys. Unfortunately due to rules that were announced last night, I have to close your threads now and open new ones for you in December!

Keep in touch over chat and PM, in the meanwhile follow what I am doing with other members - it can benefit you as well.

Guys, since only 4 of you completed your 3 assignments for October, I will post now your assignment for November. Remember that we have to do 4 assignments + REC submission for November.
Good luck and keep working steady like you have so far.
For all the rest of you guys, you won't be able to get any more assignments until you complete all 3 assignments from October's thread. Once you are done with them, I will lock those threads and open November ones for you as well. I suggest you really hurry up since its 5th of November already and you don't want to be late with work again...

Guys later tonight I will close your December and open January MTP threads. For those of you that completed 4 assignments and REC you are all set to continue. For those that didn't make sure you do it asap so that I we can continue working in January.

Guys all your 1st assignments are posted right now. You will notice that you all got some sort of Triads lesson as 1st assignment. There are several reasons why I choose this as your 1st assignment (for all of you!):
1) We get to continue with working on Harmony and Theory as well as chord and fretboard knowledge.
2) By learning this level 3 lesson and making video for it, we also cover REC and get it out of the way.
3) By doing all this in your 1st assignment we then get extra time for your future assignments. This means that some of you might be doing more theory and harmony, some might like ear training, some might want to work on technique, some might learn lessons on the site - you get the idea!

I set the deadline as 10th of January. I hope you can all learn the lesson by then, record it and submit it in your threads.

Guys your 2nd assignment is posted! You will find that you all got the same assignment. The beauty of this assignment is priceless I allow you to choose one (or more) topics which you will elaborate fully and tell me everything you know. In a way this assignment is actually encouraging you to become instructors as you are basically teaching me from your current knowledge in this assignment. It will be extra interesting as I gave you 3 days to complete it! I would really love it if you all made this deadline, if you don't I will extend it by day or two more. Once you submit your work (essay of a sort), I will review it and tell you what I feel was great and if something was lacking I will fill in the gaps for you either by asking you specific questions or directing you to some post of mine.

Guys two important updates for you!
Tomorrow I will post your 3rd and 4th assignment for MTP. I am surprised how well you did your essay assignment. Some great approaches in your thinking behind things in music. I am very glad we covered that assignment. I shall upload remaining 2 assignments for each of you in your threads.
2nd thing I wanted to mention is I will be doing Video Chat tonight around 11:50pm Serbian time zone. That is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes from now. I hope to see you all (or for those of you that can make it) there so that we could also discuss some MTP work for future.

I still cannot get chat to work on my new computer. For some reason windows 7 will not allow java to load.

Anyone out there know why?

Tony I had problems like that but they got resolved when I logged out and then logged back into the GMC. Also try updating latest version of java and flash. Since you have Windows 7 I would assume that is not an issue with your computer but you never know
