in snow hey oh, do you prefer to use alternative picking or sweep picking?
Alternate picking for me.. Keeps my fingers warm... :-)
Agree with David, alternate is alternate! 
Speaking of snow we had 2 inches yesterday in Colorado!
Alternate picking definitely, but you can use economy picking if you want!
