Ok Angelo, here we go with new MTP rules. You will be required to submit 3 assignments in October, all on weekly basis.
1st assignment is due on 17th of October.I want you to upload audio and/or video of you playing following 7 alternate picking exercises. I would like you to do them
at least 90bpm without any mistakes with these.
Feel free to check out first 5 examples that I played at 60,80 and 100bpm
HERE. Let me know if you got any questions!

I'm working on them but I found some difficult on the first 3 exercises. I think i have to work at slower speed first than 90.

Try at 80bpm and then increase to 90bpm. Also check out link with 60,80 and 100bpm, the way I approached first 5 exercises.

It is good starting point. I think you can do better especially with exercises 2 and 3 (right notes) and 6 and 7. Those are supposed to be 16th note triplets, 6 per click. Try to record them at 70bpm

Angelo we are moving onto your 2nd assignment this month. Focus is on
Sweep picking now.
2nd assignment due October 26th.
- Work on 5 sweep picking examples, record them (audio and/or video) and post them here.
- Use tempos provided in Guitar pro file as a guide for final tempo.Let me know if you have any questions! I shall upload videos of myself playing those examples today and will post them here for you as well.
Pedja
P.S. Try to play examples using original tempo in guitar pro. If you have trouble with those let me know and I will drop the bar a bit

It looks very difficult to me... I have a question.
When I do this technique, do I have to put the wrist on the bridge of the guitar or pick it up?

We will work on very low tempos until you grasp the technique first Angelo.
You can rest your hand on both pick ups and bridge. I like to leave it hanging personally but you can do any of the approaches really.

Angelo I just uploaded sweep picking examples. Check them out in this thread
HERELet me know if you have any questions.
Don't go for extreme tempos. Important thing is to grasp this technique and do all examples in time!

I'm working on the technique on really slow tempos as you said. I think with the time it will go better.

Excellent, I like to hear that!
Perhaps before you upload final takes, you could upload your warm up tempos you are comfortable with ?

Sounds good to me, as long as exercises are played in time!

I still have a lot of work: tempo 55 bpm for each exercise.

Angelo could you please record videos of them? When I listen to examples 3 and 4 I get a feeling you are individually picking notes and not sweeping.
Tempos are good, keep them this way. I just want to make sure you are doing right technique when performing these exercises !
