Sorry man, I have just written a post on MTP forum about not being able to find time for GMC for so long. What was the previous question? I suppose something about the band as I read in the topic title.
Regarding practicing, I haven't practiced for years. Too bad that I am actually making living of something else which is taking 90% of my time. I wish things were different. I do play almost every weekend in local pubs and clubs in London with my friend. We perform rock covers on two acoustic guitars. That's actually the only time I touch guitar and of course when I am doing sometihng for GMC which is also not very often lately.
Yea, you pretty much answered my previous question just by reading
the title - not bad. I hope you guys make some extra bread playing
those pubs, man. It is a shame you don't have more time to project
your talent - I would never know you had less time to practice than
me as good as you play. I can only assume it's your talent along
with the skill obtained by your past experience. Damn it, Emir!!
keep on playing and be creative as much as you can without neglecting
those things you need to attend to - as if you needed me to say it.
I need to perfect my technique but am otherwise progressing well.
I am still working on the "Rock Ballad Solo" to perfect it along with
my timing and picking technique - I did some great takes today -
even better than the one I almost passed on the REC (Remember?).
I'm so impatient sometimes and should had practiced a bit longer
like you said. I thought my take would pass at least or I would had
waited - next time I will remember how well you guys judge these
things. Anyway, now I can play almost all of it in perfect sync with
your playing, but am just a little slower on that fastest part. Ha!.
Why else would I rush one bar and then start before the beat on the
next bar? It's just instinct to me, but maybe a little trick a-lot of other
guitar players can use to keep up during inferior transgressions.
Anyway man, your music is so worth hearing and you do great being an
instructor - I can't express how much your influence and instruction
has helped me. Not to mention the many other great instructors here
on GMC. I guess there's always some one who stands out to each one
of us, even though we may be in awe of them all. I freaking love music!
So in the end, if and when I finally become a really decent player, I won't
forget you! Any of you... Thanks, man!
