Hi, Kai!

I learned the intro on your No Upstrokes Allowed lessen, but everytime I hamer-on, I have this annoying 'peeping' sound. Check out vid 3. At the end of the first time you play that riff slowly, there is that sound.
Do you have any tips to get rid of that awful sound?

biggrin.gif now you got me! ok lets say i did a "mistake" wink.gif you just have to play that riff "WITHOUT TAKING THE RIGHT HAND AWAY FROM THE STRINGS, AND PALM MUTE E,a, and d" just like i did NOT in video 3 but in the others. also you could just dampen with the left hand, like i do in video 3 also. just put your left hand fingers there on the strings like i do in that video. both in combination will leave the guitar no chance to make any of these noises...i did a bad job here... :/

the sound is produced be the left hand. its that natural harmonic i did by accident. i´m not sure if you knew of it, but that happens when you just slightly put your finger right on top of the a-string on the 4th fret. right over the wire, not there where you would grap a note regular wink.gif because i lifted the right hand away, that happend here. SORRY MY BAD!

if you dont do so, like i also do not do when playing the original tempo, or like in the other vids, that sound just cant appear...just complete the riff as it is and leave the right hand laying there where you dampen the strings, or try to dampen with the left hand also. i think this should solve the problem already...if not just come back wink.gif

cheers,
Kai

Thanks, Kai!
I'll try it tomorrow! biggrin.gif

And about the vid 3-mistake... Everybody makes mistakes wink.gif
It was just an example of how that noise sounds, so my question was a little more understandable biggrin.gif

Keep those cool lessen coming!
