Muris Varajic
Hello everybody! smile.gif

Just wanted to share this with you, maybe some of you will find it interesting.
You've probably seen my new custom from MK Guitars shop in Bosnia.
Order is possible and options are really fine.
You can choose everything, from type of woods,hardware,pick-ups,finish etc.
I mean everything,fully custom. smile.gif
And I can supervise it for you so it's in safe hands tho. wink.gif
Good thing here that it's HOBBY to Mirza who runs this shop
and this is not his main source of living,he's machine engineer btw.
Price for guitar with specs like mine would be around 1250-1300 euros (1810-1885 usd)
which is really great price for this kind of instrument imo!!
I know it is bit expensive for some of you but just wanted to let you know. smile.gif

If you have any question tho don't hesitate to ask!
botoxfox
1250-1300 euros for a custom guitar? huh.gif That's not very expensive...
Pavel
That definitely is not expensive for a custom axe!

Can i ask you about the shapes? I mean, i love Ibanez headstock shape. Would it be possible to create something similar?

EDIT: misspeling
Lester
I might ask you in a few years biggrin.gif
need to save up for driving license first but i would like to have a custom made guitar one time.

Absolutely Pavel. smile.gif

Mine is sort of PRS but bigger, guess that something like Ibanez wouldn't be the problem.
I said something like cause he will not copy it 100 %,hope you understand why. wink.gif

Yeah,it isn't. smile.gif

Large prices are usually caused by big companies and names.
This is still small custom shop.
Pavel
Yeah i know copying is not allowed for copyright issues, and i even know type of a shape i would love to have. Your guitar is pretty "rounded" that's why i ask about more sharp-edged stuff.
Muris Varajic
Rounded-edgy,body-headstock,can be done.
Fabian Schulz
A custom guitar would be very nice, but i love my ibanez neck and i think i can't get a wizard-like neck on that guitar, can I? And it's the same with the edge pro tremolo...
Muris Varajic
As I said,you CAN choose everything. wink.gif

Same thing with type of the neck or bridge cool.gif

Great rolleyes.gif if i had the money i would take one biggrin.gif so i think i have to do a lot lessons here and have to live real money-saving. Maybe in the future, I have a good guitar at the moment and i still need a good amp ...

chast
Is there also a homepage ? smile.gif
Muris Varajic
Unfortunately no sad.gif
As I said it's only hobby to him and he prefers orders via recommendation.
Having website or page would bring too many people to it
and Mirza can't cover all that.

All right tongue.gif
Maybe thats even better, because not so many people know the shop and the prcie stays as low as it is (for a custom guitar) cool.gif
And via recommendation its also more personal and makes it easier to communicate I think.

Thanks for the info. I've got two nice guitars and I think learning to play should be prio 1 right now biggrin.gif but I will keep this in the back of my head for the future. Very interesting.

Hi Muris,

Great price for a custom guitar!

How long does it take to build from placing an order to receiving the guitar?

The only problem I could see is the shipping cost to the UK would be very expensive sad.gif

Hi and good question, smile.gif

Building depends of your demands mostly, finishing etc.
Guess 6-7 months top, must ask Mirza for more details.
And will check UK shipping rates for you as well. wink.gif
Chris Evans
also just another couple of questions, sorry smile.gif how would payment work? would he require deposit? whole amount upfront?, sorry, I am very interested
Muris Varajic
Another great one. smile.gif
Perhaps 30% of the price in advance on bank account shall be fine,
must check this one as well.
We can't receive money through PayPal,Bosnia isn't on the list still. sad.gif
BUT here comes the best part. smile.gif
Let's say you get your guitar and you don't like(which is hard to be true tho smile.gif ).
You can send it back and get your full money amount back!!
As I said,it's not Mirza's main source for living
and he can easily find another buyer for the guitar. wink.gif
Fabian Schulz
this is something like a dream smile.gif I really would like to have a cuytom guitar biggrin.gif I know exactly how what i want to have and the money-back-thing is great too.

I really think if I should save my money for a custom guitar.... smile.gif
Chris Evans
that sounds great Muris!

If you can find out the shipping etc and the finer details from Mirza , please come back to me, I was looking to buy a guitar of real good quality during next year, this could be the answer, a nice custom job biggrin.gif smile.gif

Im kinda going a different way with this.. would he be willing to make a flying V? Because ive been working tediously on a design of a flying V that if i had the ability to make i would.. but i don't.. custom headstock design and all.. im sure making a v isn't much different from a regular guitar so im sure hed be able smile.gif Maybe ill be in contact because ive wanted to have this guitar made for a long time and the only company who would do it was jackson but they wanted to charge a rediculous amount sad.gif

Will ask about V,no worries. smile.gif

Edit: I'm fast on the phone,no problem making V shape. wink.gif

If you can check shipping rates to the UK, can you try for the US too? I imagine it'd be pretty ghastly though. I'd love a custom guitar eventually though.

What about semi hollow bodies?
Andrew Cockburn
I think my next but 2 guitar will be custom - I need an LP then a hollow body, then I want a Cockburn Special smile.gif

Might be a while before I can afford it but I would be interested eventually, so I would like to hear the US shipping price too smile.gif
mattacuk
Man, if i had the money i so would love to buy one !! smile.gif
Fabian Schulz
i think i would take a guitar like the Tagima K1 black with a very dark and hard to see green texture shimmering through and 27 frets and a edge pro II tremolo biggrin.gif

This guitar would be a dream smile.gif Maybe a scalloped fretboard from fret 12 to 27 smile.gif
Muris Varajic
Wew,this is going big guys! smile.gif

Shipping to states is around 100$ as well, must check it for sure tho.
JVM
That's not that bad honestly. Tacked onto the price it's still a very nice price for a custom. Can you find out about the semi hollows though? It's not a necessary thing for me but it'd be pretty cool.
Smikey2006
Awsome thanks for the word on the V ill keep it in mind.

hello Muris.

I would like to buy a MK guitar like yours. How do I get in touch with that shop in Bosnia? Can you supervise it ?
Muris Varajic
Hi there smile.gif

You'll have to make an order with all specs that you want for your guitar,
than Mirza(man who runs the shop) will calculate everything and tell you the price,
I'll PM you his email right now. wink.gif
OrganisedConfusion
Muris,

Please may I have his email address also? I'm looking to buy a custom guitar in the next few months. But mine will be an expensive one as I want it made from Sitka Spruce.
Muris Varajic
Sure, gonna send it to you via PM. smile.gif

Muris,

thanks for keeping me informed about the progress of my MK guitar. Iīm surprised that Mirza already has started building it. I have noticed that you donīt use the cover on the bridge pickup(Rogue) anymore. Whatīs the difference?
Muris Varajic
That was Viper with the cover,
you're welcome tho. smile.gif

Hello again Muris,

I wonder if you have a Rouge or a Viper bridgepickup? Whatīs the difference between them(tone) and which one do you prefer? pickup-covers-just cosmetics or do they have some kind of function?
