Mrblomme
I'm playing a few lessons from you but now is my question.
How do I get the sound you get? Maybe in big lines caus I dont use the pandora.

I have a 2 channel amplifier and a Boss DS1 distortion pedal.

Can you say me in big lines what settings I need for that sound?

Thx
Muris Varajic
Well basicly all you have to add is some delay and chorus I guess.
At least that's what I have on every lesson sound here at GMC. wink.gif
Preamp wise, try to experiment with EQs on your amp to get something similar.
AND you could post a clip of your tone so I could give
you more accurate advice on what to do. smile.gif
Mrblomme
Hmmmz thats pretty bugger caus I dont have delay and chorus on my amp haha. biggrin.gif

I see sad.gif

Have you thought about getting something like Pandora tho?
Units like that really aren't expensive and offer lot for money. smile.gif
Mrblomme
Well I was thinking of maybe buying a new amplifier, a Marshall but thats quite expensive.

I was also planned to buy an acoustic guitar in 2008 but yeah maybe I'll buy me a Pandora.

As it's that good like you say it is. It'll rock biggrin.gif

Ohh it IS good for the buck, trust me!!
I use it for all lessons, collabs etc,you can hear what I'm talking about wink.gif
Deal is,you need an amp if you play with band live
but if you're still at home and practicing a lot,
Pandora is less expensive and better solution for you at this point.

Read the review about it,you'll see,the options are endless cool.gif
Mrblomme
But i'm in a band and we allready have 2 gigs in February tongue.gif

That changes situation I believe tongue.gif

Still you can run Pandora into amp
or get few pedals, delay and chorus,
or even multi efxs pedal with both on it. wink.gif
Mrblomme
I think the multi efxs pedal is the cheapest solution if I also want to do gigs, I think the cheapest (and still good) one's are around 150€ ?

I've seen a good one quite a time ago but I cant remember the brand, tho it was a very good brand.

I'm also poor on remembering brands and models
but I guess you can get something nice from Korg,Boss,Digitech,Line6 for around 150€ .

Really, browse more around forum, specially gear board,I believe there are
some topics on similar units like you need atm, might come up with something nice. smile.gif
chast
Yeah, Korg is a good choice
Maybe a AX 1500G or even a 3000G, they are both good multi fxs for sure, Korg does really good quality units imo smile.gif

Hope you'll manage something for the gig and get some efxs unit after all! smile.gif
Mrblomme

Or didn't you mean to say the pandora isnt for gigs? Lol

So if (and I say if biggrin.gif) i'd buy the pandora box, could it be better or worse than a multi effect to play live ?

I would think the pandora would sound better?

Depends of your pocket indeed biggrin.gif
Pandora is great for value but don't expect top of the world,
that would be ...hmm...G-Force biggrin.gif
Chris Evans
Muris would be the man to answer this really but I dont think you can hook a midi pedalboard up to the Pandora which is why it may not be as versatile for gigging as a multifx board (I may be wrong)
Mrblomme
I dont know smells biggrin.gif

I'm a noob in that stuff

Ohh yeah,it doesn't have MIDI input for sure but you can put it on your belt
and have everything under your fingers cool.gif
After all, this IS pocket size unit guys, have that on mind.
Mrblomme
Lol but if I want the delay etc and I want good sound for a gig what shall I buy ? tongue.gif

Caus it's around 2AM here in Belgium haha tongue.gif

Perhaps you need more research in main tone,
preamp section,drive,EQs etc?
Adding efxs is the easier part actually, that's why I asked you to post a clip wink.gif
Any Boss pedal will do the job, dunno the models but Boss delay and chorus are well known.
Mrblomme
There are also good multi's from the brand Zoom (now I remember again)

http://www.musicstore.de/is-bin/INTERSHOP....umpTo=OfferList

this seems to be a good one
Muris Varajic
Zoom is fine as well,I had old 4040,sold it few years ago wink.gif
