David Wallimann
I ran into a weird problem and was wondering if that ever happened to you.
On y David Gilmour lesson 2 lesson, the main video is not synched with the audio.
However, the video file on my computer is perfectly synched.
I tried to reupload it a few times, I even re-encoded the video making sure that audio and vid was synched, and stuill.
It's perfect on my computer, but after uploading, it gets all out of synch.
Has that ever hapened to you?
Any suggestions?
Kristofer Dahl
I think it is working - but unfortunately the old video might be cached (saved) in your browser. However I could see an improvement when comparing.

Republished now - thanks! smile.gif

So it looks ok now?
Just to share,I has similar issue when uploading my take for LickLibrary competition.
I tried many formats until I get the right one.
All of them were looking great on my PC but when uploaded sync was like hell blink.gif

Me to uploaded the Phrygian mode on the Macedonian lesson, but it still shows the mixolydain there. COuld it be the browser? Anyone care to check out?
Bogdan Radovic
Hmm if you make changes to published lesson , you need to inform Kris to republish it for them to take effect! wink.gif

Yep,it needs republishing. smile.gif

Bogdan and Muris are right - the correct scale should now show on the live server! smile.gif

Ivan - if you watch the lesson through lesson maker ("view lesson") the correct scale would probably have shown.

To reload a page and clear the image cache it's ctrl + F5 (firefox), unfortunately this does not work with flash video.

Ahh,so republishing is only fully needed for videos,
scales and sheet might be done by refreshing cache memory?

Still not working vey well.
The vid on my computer is great though.
It's weir, because I didn't change the settings of my video conversion...
Very frustrating...

Might be something to do with current server converter and specs of your videos atm sad.gif
I remember I uploaded around 20 different videos for LickLibrary until I got good results! ohmy.gif

No - sorry, I confused things - any changement done in a lesson that has the status "published" must be handled by an admin.

Hmm this is weird - I tried uploading the file you sent me but didn't get any better results. One thing I noted was that the original file had some kind of widescreen reslution. This shouldn't affect the audio problem - but it is probably better to go for standard resolution.

As for the server video-software (ffmpeg) we have used the same version since the very creation of lesson maker, a year ago.

I agree with Muris that best would be if you used a token and fill it up with short test video files to get it right. Remember to upload the videos at different spots so you can compare (and don't run into the cache problem we spoke about).

Also - remember the windows does some automatic updates which could include movie maker and codec updates (not sure about this though).

also its happened to me specialy when i upload the scale images i saw all them in box image 1 and i try to delet it then its automaticaly delet it self from the other boxes .
i am asking if is that comming from a virus work or not .may attack the page ?. for syncro between audio and video sometimes i have the same problem .
on my PC every think is ok even quality.but when i upload it i see different .
i set a days making tests between NTSC 30sf and Pal 29.7sf systems and what the suitable softwares. what i got from that if you have an NTSC 30sf system its working good and gives a true color with windows movie maker and pennacle ,let say usually with media player . if you have a pal 29.7system its working good with adobe and riva so if i encode NTSC to riva or adobe there is a different in syncro so i have to frame the videos but on movie maker or pennacle syncro working good and the same for pal 29.7sf with movie maker and pennacle.

I think I fixed it.. I changed the video setting to good instead of best...
I use Sony Vegas by the way.
