Hello all, this isnt really a real "collaboration" like the other ones, but i decided to post this here because i need to help and participation of many people.

Here's what i need. Instead of you recording a lead, i need you to record a progression. A standard I - IV - V progression for blues soloing. That means that it should be a Tonic - Subdominant - Dominant chord progression. Meaning that (for example) if the progression is in the key of C. The chord progression will be C (I, Tonic) - F (IV, Subdominant) and G (V, Dominant).

I need a progression for each of the following keys:

• E
• F
• G
• A
• B
• C
• D

Meaning that the Tonic chord of each key will be the same chord that the key is named after.

I need this to improve my Blues Improvisation over these type of progressions but more importantly, for many keys.

Please, if you are interested in helping me. Please choose one of the keys and upload your progression in this same thread.

Please make the progression last around 1 min.

Important Note: I dont think there will be a final mix for this, i just need the progressions for jamming and improvising. But i think that the entries submitted could be good material for other collab purposes.

Great idea! You know I think (imho) it would be very useful to post a link to the appropriate track when its finished (for that key) in the Wiki under the scale box (or boxes) that apply. It would make a great reference for practice and I think helpful to a beginner.

I would love to help but I won't be able to record for another 2 weeks.

That is definitetly a great idea. I will add a link for the backing track under the corresponding scale box that fits the backing's key.

thats another benefit of this. Other people might find it useful, and i really hope they do. Btw JVM, i remember you posted one progression in the other board. Ill look for it, its in the key of G if i can remember correctly...

I'm not sure but you should be able to loop it a couple times, otherwise I can re-upload a longer version... very simple.

Funny thing. I've been thinking about doing this lately myself. Now that I have an audio interface, I can record my guitar playing and I've been thinking of adding a blues progrssion backing to get me started on a "jamming" section to my practice time.

I've been putting off cracking open Reason and a keyboard and sketching out a blues template. Once I get the basics down, I should be able to transpose the notes up and down as I need to from there. There are a couple things I could probably do to automate it a little more too....they wouldn't help anyone that doesn't have Reason, but it would help me out.

When I get started thinking about it, I'm reminded that I don't actually know enough to put together a proper blues progression. Time to go back to the theory lessons.
