What am I doing wrong? I can't get it to sound the same :S
Muris Varajic
I see the problem. smile.gif

You're doing hammer and pull-off after first Eb note
playing D,hammer to Eb and pull-off back to D.
But it's actually only one hammer-on,no pull-off,
note D after hammer-on should be played with the pick.
And this hammer must be pretty fast tho,
note D is main note and Es is just an ornament. smile.gif

This is a damn hard lesson. I wonder how long Marcus practised it.

Yeah,pretty difficult to get
if you're not familiar with Middle East or lets say Balkan music.
Try to find some music from these regions and listen a bit,
it will help plus practicing of course. smile.gif

For example?
Muris Varajic
Zoran Starcevic is pretty fine example
of Balkan melodies and grooves,
plus his Trio (with his 2 sons) plays it on guitars.
Middle East music has no guitar in use that often,
there are instruments like Oud, Nay, Buzuq etc. smile.gif
