An Engineer For Existence
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I grab the sky and bring it down
To crush reality
I bend the forces at work on earth
Shape them to my desires
I control every waking moment
Every single breath
I am the master
Pulling at your strings

In a parallel world, a parallel dimension
I exist, an unseen force
I have created everything you see
I am your god, I am your satan
In a fragile shell of artificial suns
Flows my influence, my design
I am the architecht of reality
Construct and destroy, as I please

You are my children
Born from my womb (my hands)
You are the slaves
Creatures of my indoctrination

Your eyes will never see, your heart will never know
Just what you are or where your from
I have constructed a sphere of time
Encompassing existence in my galaxy
I am the master pulling at your strings
The voice in your head, conscienceness
I am your god, I am your satan
This is your heaven now welcome to hell!

You are my children
Born from my womb (my hands)
You are the slaves
Creatures of my indoctrination

SOLO

Deja vu
Faint memory
A wave in the wake of my actions
The feeling of eyes
Watching you
My ever increasing presence

SOLO

I am everywhere and nowhere at once
I am the engineer for existence!

This here tune is about a man who travels to a different dimension, or plane of existence and re-constructs the milky way galaxy, and re builds an earth and controls it along a different timeline as he see fits.

Loosely based on the novel by Alastair Reynold called 'Century Rain', Hope you enjoy smile.gif

I really enjoyed the last two lines here. The whole Master, Puppet relationship is a cool one to express in ones writing and in this case it really helps show how strong the Engineer really is.

In a parallel world, a parallel dimension
I exist, an unseen force
I have created everything you see
I am your god, I am your satan
In a fragile shell of artificial suns
Flows my influence, my design

This was a very strong verse. The use of the word Parallel twice in the first line helps show just how vast space actually is. The first thing that came to mind when I was first reading this verse was that is feels alot like the Engineer is god, or something of that caliber. Sure enough it appears before I forget about the idea. So kudos to that cool.gif. The fragile shell part was the best part of this verse. Compared to some less complex parts in your intro verse, and this verse. It really stands out.

You are my children
Born from my womb (my hands)
You are the slaves
Creatures of my indoctrination

I think the reference to "His hands and his womb" might lead to some confusion for the reader. Yeah we do know that this "God Like" Engineer is clearly a powerful force, but I think you might have wanted to stick to either Womb or Hands in this case, just so we dont lead to a little tooooooooo much confusion. However, at the same time it does feel a little right, it still gets me thinking that this Engineer could be of either sex. Or something like that. It just feels out of place to me. IMHO. And I did enjoy the slave reference here ^, It brought me back to the first verse.

Your eyes will never see, your heart will never know
Just what you are or where your from
I have constructed a sphere of time
Encompassing existence in my galaxy
I am the master pulling at your strings
The voice in your head, conscienceness
I am your god, I am your satan
This is your heaven now welcome to hell!

Best verse thus far. This is a clever concept to use at this point in the song.
It revisits important lines in the song that the naked eye might have missed, Nice smile.gif

This verse ties in really well with the next little segment.

I am everywhere and nowhere at once
I am the engineer for existence!
This is kind of the ending I was hoping for. Full of mystery. Full of questions. I like smile.gif

Overall this was a really good set of Lyrics my friend smile.gif
Thought this would be a good one to Crit.
I only really picked on one small part and its not even that big of a deal.

Thanks for the crit, and the whole my womb my hands thing is this. Whoever it is, woman or man, there referencing there hands is there womb. She or he built this world with there hands, so I compare the hands to the womb. (The actual words "my hands" are whispered over it)

Ok. I guess that makes more sense now.
I guess what I was saying is that if you didnt take that extra minute to slow down and read it you might have been confused by the part .

Thanks for clearing that up for me laugh.gif
