44 born and raised in Springfield Illinois. At about 18 my neighbors friends and I started playing although I never progressed much more than learning the chords for about 15 songs. Then as all bands do - we broke up... I never really picked up the guitar again for 20+ years. After just finishing up about 7 years of Tae Kwan do and earning my Black belt I decided if I can accomplish that I can learn to play my guitars correctly! So this is kind of my new years resolution to get back into playing only this time I want to learn things correctly and more completely. I look at it as a fresh start since I can't remember most of what I used to know!! I do have a little musical background - school band thru high school, I played almost all the brass from french horn to tuba.
I subscribed to this site with hopes and goals - put in my hard work and hope to hear a reward!
I want to learn to play the rock and roll that i enjoy - AC - ZZ Top as long as it has the sounds of wailing guitars!!
