The founding guitarist of iggy and the stooges, is gone. ron's body was found in his home in ann arbor, the early days of the new year, and it is suspected a heart attack claimed his life. Ron was my favorite Punk guitarist, and i was proud to be from the same state as he was. jonathon Richman of punk band Modern lovers, delivered this Eulogy;

Ron Asheton has left for the other world
and he left his guitar tone here behind him,
left his guitar tone here in the ether.
For when he played, he played te ether.
not like joy, not like may, more like
danger-more like october.


Rest in peace Ron...

RIP...He will be missed by the fans greatly
