I had an amazing experience with my jazz rock combo class today...


we decided to do a lot of bossa nova this semester, and i fell in love with it! It was a challenge site reading a bossa nova chart when ive never seen it before, but it was so much fun to solo over the static chord changes the song had... i had to use a different key each chord which was fun, and i got to show off my skills in theory and technique, my instructor was impressed with the chord tones i used and diminished arpeggios


anyways, i think it would be cool to get some lessons on that area of jazz

I plan to organize MTP type of collaboration and will do backing track in style of bossa nova. We can work on that in your individual MTP thread as well
