hi guys, can someone help me out please? i,m trying too put my first video in the REC program and my question is how do i go about embeding my video from you-tube into my REC posting???? i really need some help here guys!!! a big thanks in advance!
Canis
It can be done in two ways. It's easy =) If you look below the video info on youtube videos, you see an embed link, unless it's "Disabled by Request". Just click it, copy it and paste it into the forum. It will get automaticly converted into the right coding, which leads us to the next way:

You can just copy the letters and numbers after the ?v= in the url

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_1qf4hGzvU

And type it into something like this:

CODE
[youtube]F_1qf4hGzvU[/youtube]

Which turns into:

hi canis, thanks man! i,ll go back and take a look?

hi canis, do i press on that little blue button beside the embed code????
Canis
You can if you wanna change the way the embed-window looks, but I don't know if that function is supported by this forum. Just press the text where it says "<object width="425" bla bla bla" and copy paste it right into your post =)
Clare
hi canis, o.k. i,ll try again....thanks!!

hi canis, i did like you said and i copied and pasted it, is it normal to see after you pasted the embed that there is alot of script?? you like about 4 or 5 rows of letters and numbers?
Canis
Perfectly normal ^^ It will get converted as soon as you post it (I hope) tongue.gif

hi canis, thanks big time for your help!!!

sorry guys, another stupid question, when i preview my post it looks the same, should i see some sort of link so the instructors can click on??? and do i copy and paste the original lesson this way as well????
Canis
Hm, didn't looks like it worked... Try the other way: In the url of the video, copy the letters and numbers after the "watch?v=" part, into a
CODE
[youtube] letters and numbers here [/youtube]

That should do the trick =)
