Such a beast of a guitar. But his playing was really much better than his singing.

This is another perfect illustration of failed onstage monitoring. That's what it sounds like when someone cannot hear their own playing/singing. As much as I love Simon's directness, he really doesn't know anything about being on the other side of the stage.

Awesome clip! The playing was not bad and the singing was by far not the worst one I´ve heard. The mother-in-law is great! "I think you were really, really nasty!"
Thanks for posting!

While it was not great, he did catch the crowd very well
Oh my... his mother in law got out at the end, poor guy "again?"

I thought his playing was great...much better than I could do!
I wonder why an Englishman has the American flag all over his guitar and strap though...

For a show in Britian, you'd use a less American styled guitar, no?

I can imagine myself playing Warrant songs with that guitar!!. hahaha
Me, too. It's one thing to be a 'bedroom hero' and something else to get out on stage by yourself and sing and play in front of a crowd like that.

I think of the playing and singing both as rather average, not too bad, but also not world class. He didn't deserve to go to the next round, but hey, neither would I
