hey Daniel,
i have noticed, that i have to do 2 rythm-assignemts, i thought its only one. i didnt had time the last days because i was very stressed on the weekand and now i have school almost every evening. can you do that two assignments the next two wekks for Februar assignemts please? its very hard to practice that stuff, because i have to concentrate very much for that (more then playing guitar i think).
i have played much guitar for fun on the weekend because i need something for relaxing!
i did the "fur elise" lesson and the "Alice in chains" on the weekend, but i also want to learn your Sklipknot-lesson for REC! (the easier one)
Hey Mirko! it's ok that you do those two rhythm assignments for the next two weeks. It's good that they have taken a lot effort from you, that only means you are getting a lot better. Trust me, when you start recording your own stuff or playing with a band, you'll notice the difference.
The Slipknot style lesson is great for rhythm workout. You have two options, play it on a 7 string guitar or tune a 6 string guitar down from E to B.
ok, so I'll post the new assignments next to this post.
* February's first assignments
Due for: 10th of february
- Record and post Speed assignment from GP file. This is a lick taken from "Anguish and fear" by Y. Malmsteen. It's short but challenging to be played at that speed and I know you are now able to do it. There's a whole lot of stuff that we can work on taken from Malmsteen's arsenal so let's start with this lick.
here's a video for it: (lick is at 1:35)

* February's second assignments
Due for: 17th of february
- Record and post tapping assignment from GP file. The intro for "Hot for teacher" by Van Halen. A very symmetric type of tapping. Careful with the timing, one note has to be after the other at exact time. Tapping is a great tool to develop speed.
This is a lesson on it:

* February's third assignments
Due for: 24th of february
- Record and post bending and speed assignment from GP file. The final solo for "Octavarium" by Dream Theater. Bendings in this solo have to be treated very carefully and there also some fast but short scales that sound great.
Octavarium razor's edge:
