Hi guys! I found this video where Alex from Rush shows his gear for the Time Machine tour, and I decided to share it because it's always cool to know what and how the famous guitarists use their gear.

Gibson is starting to do nice les pauls with tremolo bar. I also saw this one by Slash:

Alex is a cool dude. I saw Rush in 1979 on their "Moving Pictures" tour. What an incredible show. Would like to see them again. Alex's rig looks pretty complicated, but I've always liked the variety of tones that he puts into his songs.

Yeah, the new modern Gibsons with the Floyd Rose are cool. I used to think that it was sacrelige to put a tremolo on a Les Paul, but after seeing these guitars, I'm kinda starting to like the idea. It doesn't look out of place at all. Not to mention the coil tap switching and the "Life-O-Matic" output. Very versatile guitar indeed.

The first time when I saw a floyd rose on a Les Paul, was back in 2004 at the G3 gig in Budapest. Robert Fripp from King Crimson had one in that show, but I was a tad to young to understand Mr. Fripp biggrin.gif

Thanks for this vid
It is very cool.

I am a big Rush fan and Alex is one of my favourites.

Also love the German H&K amps Alex used

I love to have a 50 watt Switchblade once.
