My Dad built the original GT40's and went to Le Mans with them when they won for the first time!

I can't repeat what came out of my mouth when I just read that ! WOW ! What history.. this must have been '66, '67 maybe ?

DIETER! A fine choice sir! I'd LOVE one of these. These are Military Spec vehicles built by mercedes then released to the public. They are about $100,000 each and are built like a tank. Having literally died once on a Racing Motorcyle, than AGAIN in a small sports car, I tend to like LARGE vehicles now. My third near death experience will have to wait. I've come back twice and I"m done with that.

this repaired and fixed a fine car and enough place for my family and dog.
around my place there are some freaks who like to buy such cars and make them real great ones.

I can imagine, believe me!! Yeah, they won 66, 67, 68 and 69 although they first raced at the Nurburgring in 64.
One of his most treasured possessions from that time was the Steering Wheel from one of the winning cars!

(We still have the Steering Wheel.)


I know, I and my 2 brothers were all brought up on stories of racing Cars and Motorcycles!

After he finished with the GT40 he worked on the AC Cobra's for a while too!!

There's a place in Worcestershire, England, called Tornado and they make GT40's.. if you all sent me some money now and again I could start getting the body parts and wheels, engine etc..

must talk to my wife first , maybe when we cancel our daughters pocket money and here and there some stuff ... one day

Bass To The Future

I am with Ben on the GT40, but seriously what came to my mind was the Corvette 2012.

My wife and I both have our dream cars. Hers is a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Mine is a 2003 Dodge Durango that needs a paint job and sometimes does not run like it should...... and they are both paid for.

Yeah to be honest , my wife`s and my car ,is a Saab 93 build 2002 its paid and i am looking forward to a nother five years

With a Saab, you should have no problems . We're going to drive our vehicles until the wheels fall off. Then we'll put them back on and drive them some more.
