Hey guys and gals! smile.gif As we have discussed last time, I started a little thread in which I would like to gather ideas from you guys! What sort of concepts would you like to discuss about in the upcoming video chat sessions?

I was thinking of alternating applied technique, with band experience and theory regarding more exotic modes smile.gif What would your thoughts on this be?

Hey Cosmin, that idea is very good. I wanna also work on soloing in a power ballad. And I think exotic modes (like the ones used by Marty Friedman) would fit in nice. I've written down the lyrics for two ballads, and some clean riffs too, but they're not fitting.

And what's best, I am gonna attend the chat session on Friday. Its 11 PM GMT, ie 5:30AM here, I would have to wake up early, but I think it would be worth it, won't it ? smile.gif

OK, checked it out. Its very important. I was bored of doing that chord shifting and Gabe's Hammer-On assignment. And I am still not done with either. But, starting this Friday, everything will change.

I will want to see the chord shifting done well wink.gif don't think you are getting away with it! biggrin.gif

Um, in a way, yes, tongue.gif. But I am no good at it. sad.gif Although I am much better now than what I started with, but it doesn't seem to be my thing. I can dish out riffs like For Whom The Bell Tolls, Symphony of Destruction, Holy Wars (well, not perfectly, but 70%), but the chord shifting is the toughest. Darn it.

Here also the same thing is happening. I can do the bit tougher stuff, but the easier stuff gets me, always. Just like in studies. I do tougher questions no one in the class could solve, and then they ask me the simplest of questions, and I don't know how to solve it.

Why me, always ???

And I know chord shifting is important, as it will help me with acoustic guitar and strumming. But what do I do????

I'll record tomorrow, however it comes out, I'll record.

Hey Yash!

mate, send the recording my way and also, I would be very curious to see one of the more difficult riffs of which you were talking about, recorded.

smile.gif Focus on these easy tasks with good focus man - they will help you out A LOT, even if at this point they may seem boring and dull smile.gif

Trust me on this one and you won't miss the target wink.gif
