Hi Liquid Ace!! Welcome to your Gab's Army thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... )

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for taking me in on your army. Will be in your front lines for sure!

Been playing guitar for around 5 years now, but with no real seriousness untill a couple of weeks. Just messing around a bit and trying some tabs here and there. Mostly metal and rock based music, but am interested in all music and guitarplaying. Always playing little snippets of songs and never conformed myself to learning a whole song.

Signed up to GMC 1,5 years ago but always thought to stay practicing in my room on my own before showing it to the world ( huh.gif like that came true) Now I know improvement doesnt come on your own and want to be actively busy like here on GMC and start up with a band soon.

Musical tastes and influences range from metal and rock to blues and country. Melodic death metal stays on top but am grabbed by bands like Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy, Machine Head, Sabbath, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and guitarists like Rory Gallagher, Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads, Ritchie Blackmore, Frusciante and Paul Gilbert. Could go on and on but you get the picture.

My strenghts (if any I need help for cr..... tongue.gif ) are i think palm muted rhythm riffs and some galloping.
Weaknesses definitely articulation; bending and vibrato, also chord voicings apart from the basic ones and I play sloppy, lots of excess noise of other strings.

My goals are to play full songs in a band and to play what I feel. Not imitating other players.
Also I lack some theoretical understanding about scales and modes, phrasing and chord progressions so would like to incorporate that in my practice routines.

Here are 2 videos I just recorded. Not really good quality. Alsocouldnt record too loud since my baby is sleeping biggrin.gif
But I really want to start with this and upload soemthing allready as not to become passive.
It may be a bit false and there is some buzz stringing but will solve that soon.

Let me know what you think and if you need more or something LOUDER cool.gif
