Hey Everyone

Came across this article today listing 14 of the top free audio editing apps. Thought I would pass it along.

Do you use any of these apps? Which one is your favorite?

No problem. I've used Audacity, but now I use Garageband most of the time since I use Mac's and it's quick and easy. Though it's free, it's only on Mac so not very portable if you don't have one.

Speaking of FREE RECORDING, I strongly believe that the next evolution of Recording/Mixing/Collaborating will be focused around a web based DAW solution much like the MANTIS DAW from indaba.com. It's free to use and allows anyone on earth with a web connection a full featured daw the records to the "cloud" and allows global sharing and collaboration.

CAVEATS: (of course)
*No, it's not pro tools or logic, nor is it meant to be smile.gif
*Web based, does require an internet connection
*Not aimed at pros per se, just an example of things to come.

Here is a vid. It won't replace reaper just yet, but gives a glimpse in to how millions of folks will be working in the near future.
