Gabriel Leopardi
Hi friends! I hope that everything is great!

I would like to invite you to join my Creativity Workouts which are now open for everybody at GMC.

Here you can read a bit more about these workouts:

Creativity Workout I: LINK TO THE THREAD

In this new series of forum threads we will dedicate some time to activate our spiritual side. So let's forget about reason for a while, and search deep within for creativity.

This might sound weird to you, but I guarantee once you have got a hang of it, that it will open up new possibilities.

The first experiment consists in visualizing an image that I will share. Using your deeper perception - you should musicalize it with a note, a chord, a noise, a melody, an unfinished idea, a song or whatever you can create. The creation (music) must be original, recorded by yourself and shared here.

Each of us has a different perception of reality and it will be interesting to see different GMC:ers create different musical ideas for the same image. We will then analyze the results.

Creativity Workout II: LINK TO THE THREAD

This experiment consists of connecting melodic lines over a backing track that I will share here.
In other words, this means that we'll be creating a song together!

It will be very interesting to listen to melodies we create together by connecting guitar lines and being influenced by each other yet still adding our own style along the way. I think that his experiment will make it a rich learning experience for everybody.

Besides the backing track I will also provide a word or phrase that reflects the feeling that we would like to convey while creating the melodies.
This will hopefully inspire us to go with our composing ideas even deeper and I’m sure that the results will influence everyone.

That's all, feel free to ask me if you have any question or to directly join!

Cheers,
Marius Pop
Now this is interesting, Gabriel! Very good ideea! I think you've touched a very important aspect of music by taking emphasis on the spiritual side. In the end, "music is a gift from heaven", they say! smile.gif

Great idea indeed, Gabi! smile.gif I already have a phrase in mind that suits the situation in the thread image best, in my opinion - I'll wait a bit to see who's posting and then I'll come with it wink.gif
