MickeM
Homer Simpson, at KFC.
Travelin' Man
There are too many. John Wayne, or Geronimo, but I think that I would like to sit in camp with Robert E. Lee, and discuss, over a few bourbons, the foolishness of charging thru that dang open field at Gettysburg.
shredmandan
I would have to say James Hetfield at his crib. laugh.gif

The Geico Gecko at Ruccis (a now defunct UK curry house sad.gif - best indian food ever cool.gif )

Smikey...if you don't object, I'd like join you and Zack and bring Tom Morello along for some chicken soup and a boston cream. Maybe we could convince them to do another Rage album over a Double Double (for the non Tim Hortons people this means a coffee with two cream and two sugar. tongue.gif )

Also I wouldn't mind dining with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant at the Bombay Bicycle Club in Bermuda. Best Butter Chicken ever...with nann bread and rice and Mango chutney and pompadoms... mmmmmm I'm getting hungry.

Sounds like a great time.. my question is what happened to the bread bowls ohmy.gif they used to have like chicken stew in a bread bowl and i havn't seen it in years!
Robin
This is a tough question. I could have said Odd Nordstoga or Gylve "Fenriz" Nagell, but they are pretty normal guys and thats cool, but if I could meet 1 dude, no matter who, it would have to be a super famous legend or something! biggrin.gif

I'd have to say Johnny Winter.

Where? At his place(wherever he lives) listening to music!

But when I think about it, Jesus was an interesting choice. I'd like to know what silly magic tricks he used to fool people for 2000 years(and more to come probably).
Pantalaimon
hmmm.....i have quite a couple so please excuse me.

-Oscar Wilde, J.D. Salinger, and F. Scott Fitzgerald at any comfortable corner coffee shop (maybe Ernest Hemmingway could come too...maybe).

-Philip Pullman at any good cafe in Oxford, UK

- Sam Harris at Kerby Lane (local 24 hr diner)

- All of Sigur Ros....at their studio in Iceland.

- Patrick Stump and Justin Pierre at any good burger/hot dog joint in Chicago

- John Mayer - anywhere

- John Ondrasik at a piano bar.

there would be more but I've given too many answers already.
ZakkWylde
I would go into the next best bar where we can get Back-Tooth-Grin(Crown Royal Whiskey with coke) with Dimebag Darrel - RIP

Wow, that's really hard..

I won't be boring and chose a musician, even though both Ã…kerfeldt and Kristoffer Rygg would be interesting to have lunch with.

I won't pick an actor either, but Natalie Portman would be intersting, since she's in my opinion the worlds greatest actress and she seems to be an intersting person, but an actor would be a bit simple.

No, I would pick Goichi Suda, at Hard Rock Cafe in Tokyo. He seems incredibly interesting and smart. Not to mention, the man's got style. Definetly one of the most interesting persons I know about, and I admire his work a lot.

Hehe, Pullman is an interesting - and good - choice, even if it doesn't come as a surprise from you, Pan smile.gif

- Liszt and Chopin, anywhere near a piano. Would like to hear first hand Chopin's rubato, and Liszt's playing in general smile.gif

- Jorge Luis Borges, at a cafe in Prague.

- Muse, just about anywhere, because they always tend to cause crazy, havocy fun - and I'd like to dig a bit into Bellamy's eccentric obsession-filled brain...

My old favourite curry house in the UK air freights vacuum packed curries around the world Andrew. When I lived in the UK I used to think people were mad to get them but now I understand the need rolleyes.gif . As much as I love Spanish food a great curry is rather yummy (preferably along with a lot of beer biggrin.gif ).

Cheers,

ps I'd go with Ricky Gervaise - as he's funny - and,a s I've already mentioned curry, a take-out from the Brighton Grove in Newcastle upon Tyne.

wow wow wow! Is it the best curry you have ever had? or did you have a lot of beer before you had it? I never have curry unless i make myself sad.gif Usually when i hit the town and need a midnight snack, there always magically seems to be a Kebab shop. And that tastes like the best thing ever! (but with a lot of juice in the belly)

Curry I love the most, especially if it melts my face off! What is the hottest chili you can get does anyone here know?

Seriously good curry Hemlock - drunk or sober. Problem I have with Kebabs after a curry - and it does always seem like a good idea at the time laugh.gif - is when it catches up on you the next day.

Worst after beers takeout I can remember is a friend who had a kebab followed by a deep fired pizza and a deep fired mars bar followed by a multi coloured yawn outside. Not a pretty sight ohmy.gif .

V hot curries though reminds me of the old joke (ahem) - eat a vindaloo when depressed. The bottom won't fall out of your world but the world will fall out of your bottom. Tadaa.

Cheers,

That's especially funny given that I had a Chicken Vindaloo last night - Vindaloo is one dish they do well over here smile.gif Of course my eyes didn't bleed so it could have been a little hotter, but it was good!

biggrin.gif very good, you dialed a smile on my face phone. Ah.

Multi coloured yawn tongue.gif gee i haven't heard that one before but it is certainly one of the nicest way's of putting it i think. hehe. I have had completely black rainbow yawns (which is not good, but im fairly sure it wasn't a blood yawn, just a strong black bile stout)

As for the vindaloo, my world hasnt gone upside down and out the back exit as the result of a curry, either i am lucky, or i am not having hot enough.

thanks smile.gif

few years ago there was a newspaper story in Newcastle (and I believe everything that I read in the press rolleyes.gif ) about a woman who ate a v dodgy kebab. She claimed it made her hair fall out in clumps and made her vomit. She went to the hospital who put a fibreoptic scope into her to check her out and reported that her throat etc had lessions and had turned a horrid shade of pink, She sued the kebab shop owner for damages, won but oddly when she sent someone to collect the cafe was now in the hands of the guy's identical, long lost twin who didn't know where his brother was... It was all in the newspaper so must be true dry.gif .

I've done the black vomit as well Hemlock- but not for ages smile.gif . Andrew try curry paste - got a friend that virtual eats it out of the tube, madman - if you want your eyes to bleed and your head to explode tongue.gif . You really need some decent lager to go with it - don't think it can be sent in a jiffy bag though unsure.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

For those of you who care as deeply about English curry as I do, just wanted to let you all know I was in New Jersey today and found a place that served Lamb Dhansak ... not the best I have ever had but reasonable, and the first in a very long time ... ahhhh smile.gif

Yea Andrew - but now you really need to update your gear list biggrin.gif Jem, Lamb Dhansak...

Luck with the Quest for a perfect Curry (surely destined to be the next Terry Pratchet book?)

For me though it's a Chicken Jal Fraisi (or how ever its spelt sad.gif ). High point of my week'a holiday in the UK. Low point was Pizzahut. (Could have been worse - my mum suggested the 'Golden Arches' for a lunch ohmy.gif which my daughter refused - good girl biggrin.gif )
