The melodies in Peace Of Mind are simply awesome.

Its sad about Brad Delp, he will be misseed.

This album review is in honor of Brad Delp( best known as the lead vocalist for the band Boston).Brad had been married and divorced twice n his lifetime and was engaged to Pamela ( His girlfriend of several years)prior to his untimely suicide. Brads electric vocals shocked people around the world.

Overview
Ok now onto the album. This album is easily one of the most memorable classic rock albums of the 70's and 80's. The album is a staple of classic rock radio stations playlists and when your on your way to your next baseball game, or to meet up at Mcdonalds with the wife for some lunch, turn the station and your bound to here some Boston. Boston delivered power licks and riffs as well as creative lyrics. The album was in the right place at the right time and boy did it show when it only took 2 months the RIAA Gold Record Award in 1976.

Ok, I just got the chills. Can't believe he's gone. He lived about 10 miles from where I live (Londonderry, NH) and just around the corner from a friends house. Just a nice, down to earth guy. I met him 2 years ago after a show (snuck back stage with some chick that knew the drummer) and talked with him for awhile. Turned out he lived right around the corner from where I live for around 10 years. When I told him where I live, he said "wow, what a small world". I was thinking, buddy I've been listening to you guys since your debut album. He signed my T-shirt and we hung out and drank a few beers. Because he is local, the band had quite a few friends and family members there. They just talked about how this one was doing and what they were all up to. It was more like a family reunion than anything. Just a nice guy who will be sorely missed.

Oh, I also saw him play at a local bar here in town and once in a small music theatre in Portsmouth in his band Beatlejuice. This is a video from Salem High School, Salem New Hampshire. My parents live in Salem and my nephew is a senior there.

I really loved this when it came out. Now the thought of listening to it again makes me shudder, it would be painful. However at the time, it was great. The guitarist created his own effects devices, which is why they were unique for the time. He was an MIT engineering school graduate. For those of you that don't know, I will illustrate how difficult MIT. I have a nephew who graduated #2 in his high school class out of 300. At MIT he could not handle engineering, changed major to an easier one, computer science. In four years, he got only one 'A' grade. I believe the guitarist's name was Tom Schultz, something like that. Smart guy.
