  Cool lesson topic Aleksander - I am personally very far from being able to play this! It would be really cool to see if we can get some 8-ginger-tappers emerging from GMC!

  This is a really cool lesson, just as Kristofer, I'm VERY far from being able to play this, but nothing that an hour or 2 of hard work can't solve!

  Thanks Jesse! That's correct, the purpose of this exercise is to make you start using all your right hand fingers (not gingers ), and concentrating on each finger equally.

  Wouldn't be called 8-finger tapping if it was without the pinky, would it?
  
  The pinky is definitely the clumsiest finger, and that means that he needs most attention.

Welcome to '8-finger tapping BASICS - Exercise 1.', a first lesson of 8-finger tapping series. This time we are going to do four basic exercises that will help you to start using all four tapping fingers equally. Since many of you probably have already used your right hand index finger for tapping, now you will start using the other three just as well.

While this is by structure a very simple exercise, using only one scale in one key, you should prepare yourself for a lot of practicing.

But note this, when practicing, not all fingers will need the same attention - e.g. the pinky should be the least fit for the use of tapping, so by the rule it would need the most practicing to make it usable for that purpose.

Tempo: 100 BPM;
Key: B minor;
Time signature: 4/4
