Kristofer Dahl16th September 2009I love how you mixed in those sweeps and runs with the grooving melody, also I think I am hearing more notes than in Andy's version! ![]()
AlexLion16th September 2009I just watched his "Groove or die" and You know what?!
I prefer this version more than original no doubt
Tone is better, and You play very clean and more articulated than Andy
No, really!
Nighthawk116th September 2009That sounded stunning Muris, haven't really heared of him..can you recommend some solo albums by him? Are those instrumentals?
gibsonmatte16th September 2009Dude, that was excellent! Andy Timmons is my absolute favorite when it comes to tone and feel and you captured all of this even in this really fast "groove or die" version. Love it!
In addition to this, Andy's "Electric Gypsy" is a must see/hear. My all time best instrumental song ever made!
Great job Muris! You really blow me away every time!
Sinisa Cekic16th September 2009Well done maestro

But first of all THX A LOT for this one =)

Hello guys and welcome to lesson
In Style Of Andy Timmons!!
Andy is an amazing guitar player known by his work
with band Danger Danger but also through his solo records.
His playing is very emotionals, full of power
but also very demanding due his skills.
This very lesson is inspired by his tune
called Groove Or Die from "That Was Then, This Is Now" record,
a very cool neo-classic piece in kind a boogie feel.
There's a lot of powerful picking, wide vibrato
and heavy bending in this lesson.
Lesson is in a key of Dm and we are using Dm scale most of the time
except few spots where out chords appear which is explained tho.
However the tempo is 220 bpm but considering the fact
that we're playing 8th triplets top it's not that fast after all.
Hope you'll like it, enjoy practicing! :)
