Today, we learn to slide! Sliding is a very important part of playing lead guitar. It has a very vocal like quality to it and can be used for great expression and emotion in playing, in a similar but different way than bending.
Tonality:
We'll be using the diatonic scale of D major
Chord progression:
D, C, G (x8)
Equipment and Sound: I used a Telecaster with single coil pickups on the bridge pickup setting, ran it into a Line 6 UX2 Studio and POD Farm. Used an emulated Fender Bassman amp and an emulated Tubescreamer. I used a rotary speaker simulator in POD Farm on a very low setting to add some texture to the sound. Then added compression, delay and reverb and recorded into Garageband. I also added a little more compression and reverb in Garageband.
Tuning:
A 440 Standard
