Attila Voros29th August 2010Thanks Maté![]()
I belive sometimes it's hard to define a lesson on a "difficulty scale" because there's so many viewpoints of who knows what better. For example an easier 8 finger tapping lick would be 10 times harder than these sort of wide strechy stringskippings that I've been doing since a while, if You know what I mean. It is still a pain in the ass lick though:)
Daniel Realpe30th August 2010very raw indeed! excellent!

Modern thrash/metal lead
Dear GMC fellows,
Now I’m gonna show You a little piece that has been recorded as a guest appearance for a Hugarian thrash legend’s new project named Bloody Roots (www.bloodyroot.hu). I played this lead on my six string Dime3 (tuned a half step down). Some of the licks are really chalenging because of the wide stretches and the unusual rhytms. Please try to not overpractise these stretchy licks - alternatively you can give some rest to your hands after a while, because with this you can easily get hurt.
I hope You’ll have fun with it!
Techniques/scales used:
Alternate pickings
Legato
String skipping
Hammer-ons
Pull-offs
Pinch harmonics
Muted notes
Unusual rhytms (quintuplet, septuplet, nontuplet)
Slides
Vibratos
Bendings
Minor scales (with chromatic notes)
Diminished scales
Exotic scales
Pickup switching (!)
Cheerio!
Attila
