Hi rockers!
Today I’ll be showing you a lesson inspired by a great old time guitarist, a father of the guitar solo, Chuck Berry. In this lesson I take a few of his licks and mix them.
This solo is in the pentatonic of Bb, a mix of major and minor. The base is a classic rock and roll or blues in Bb: Bb - Eb - Bb- Gb - Eb - Bb (two bars of each chord).
To sound like Chuck, add just a bit of drive to your amp or maybe using an ibanez tube screamer (or any similar overdrive pedal) and also playing hard with your right hand.
And if you enjoy this lesson don’t get too excited because you could end up like Marty Mc Fly in Back to the Future, kicking your amplifier! ;)
Rock N´Roll!!
