Hello GMC!
I've always wanted to give lesson in the style of Yngwie Malmsteen,
but after watching Marcus, Emir and Gabriel’s lessons I gave up.
Finally, one day I found a tape of my early recordings. Especially
one track reminds me of Hans Zimmer compositions and yes - Yngwie Malmsteen’s
Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra released in 1998.
So, I've engaged my private orchestra again and recorded this little tune :)
We are going to use:
- alternate picking,
- vibrato
- sweep picking
- barouque technics like ostinato,
Tempo: 120
Time sig: 12/8
I used mostly a minor scale.
This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for this lesson:
Amp: Line 6 Chemical X , Drive 8 - Bass 5 - Middle 6- Treble 4 - Presence 4
Cab: 4x12 2001 Treadplate
Dly: Multihead delay,
Rev: DAW reverb
Stomp: Classic Distortion
The lesson is available in the guitar pro 5 file, mp3 backing tracks included.
Enjoy!
Piotr
