macseamus12th October 2009Hi Stephane, are you generally hitting the top three strings with this riff? I find my natural tendency is to play with less left hand, i mean strumming hand (I'm a lefty) movement. but this results is a slightly different sound. Or do you have enough control to hit just the 3rd string while swinging your hand from your leg to almost the top of the guitar? thnx.
Stephane Lucarelli17th October 2009Hi Stephane, nice lesson!
Just trying to work out what those chords are. I keep coming up with Bdim7 and F#7#9.
Am I close?!
Thanks!
Stephane Lucarelli7th November 2009Hi kevvyg, glad you liked the lesson!
Main riff / solo section are around a C#- vamp, bridge chords are F#5 / F#7#9 and the last one is G#7#9
Hope it helps
Cheers!

A cool & good way to improve your funk-rock guitar techniques!
Hi GMC !
Today we gonna work on some funk-rock riffs and lead guitar part.
It's a good exercise for your right hand accuracy when strumming and also for your left hand
because we need a good technique for damping unplayed strings.
The lead part is made with the C# pentatonic scale.
Nothing difficult, just pay attention to the first bend and the rhythm placement.
The lesson is done in order to be played in loop : intro / lead part / bridge riff... etc...
As always, start by working slowly to master the different riffs.
Good practice and have fun!
Stephane.
