Hi GMC-ers!
Welcome to another series of Paul Gilbert's techniques.
When I first watched Paul's "Intense Rock Sequences and Techniques", I was totally blown away. The versatility, the clarity and the intensity of his techniques had and still has a huge impact on my playing and in developing my own style.
Very similar to this little sequence can be heard on his DVD. What I wanted to do is to be able play that exercise but with a few changes. I played the same progression but using a simple sweeping technique. That's how I came up with this lesson. With this lesson you can develop a beautiful and flowing sweeping technique.
In this lesson we will be covering the following technique:
Sweeping/arpeggios
Have fun practicing!
