davidwogan14th January 2011Great lesson as ever. I have to point out however that what you are playing is not what you have tabbed. The played version has extra notes and a slightly different rhythm to the tabs and Guitar Pro file.

Hi GMC'ers! Todays lesson is influenced by the one and only, SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughan). This is a solo lesson rather than my previous SRV lesson, which was rhythm based.
The key of the solo is based in B. I used the first and second mode of a simple B blues pentatonic when creating the solo. Pay close attention to the bends, this technique is one of the aspects which gave his guitar playing a distinguishable sound.
Chord:
B7 - B7 - E7 - B7 - F#7 - E7 - B7 - B7
Techniques:
* Bends
* Vibratos
* Hammer-ons
* Pull-offs
* Slides

Have fun! Laszlo
