  • Hello GMC'ers!  We will be covering Megadeth's “Cryptic Writings” rhythm style. On this particular album Dave simplified his playing a lot and the whole album has a hard rock feel to it.

    There is a lot of palm muting and unique upstroke picking. This will be a good lesson to practice for your palm muting and riffing techniques.

    Tuning:
    * Standard E
    * E - A - D - G - B - E
      (From thick to thin string)

    * Stratocaster with brigde humbucker pickup and
