Hey GMC'ers! This is another lesson in the style of Metalcore. The lesson is based on the band, Shadows Fall: " an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995. They are one of the few contemporary metal bands who take their lyrical influence from Eastern philosophy."("Shadows Fall", Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia)
As I explained in the previous lesson, there is a large difference in sound, style, and influence among the so called Metalcore bands. The combination of different metal sub-genres with elements from hardcore and punk give each band a unique sound. So, in this case, focusing on Shadows Fall, we'll see how to combine Groove and melodic death metal.
