seagull25th May 2010Great effort on this huge lesson Ramiro!
However (and I can only speak for myself when saying this) I find it extremely annoying with the pretty stressed way you narrate the arpeggios for instance in video number 5. You narrate it so fast, because you play it at the same time, but IMO that doesn't help.
It would be better maybe, to cut down on the talking when you are playing the parts, and maybe add a little text under the videos instead, and only narrate the stuff thats hard to explain in writing, and needs to be explained orally.
And this is meant as constructive criticism on your way of making lesson videos, not bad-mputhing of it. ![]()
Challisman25th May 2010Wow, fantastic work. The song that wowed my wife when I played it to her 16 years ago. Serously trying to replay it now. Thank you Ramiro ![]()

Hi GMC'ers!
I'm glad to bring you in this opportunity a great classic of Metallica: Fade to Black.
This song is on their second album, Ride the Lightening released in 1984.
The song is almost complete here, I just removed some of the parts that weren't unique (that means I took off the repetitions). I think you'll find that everything is in there, the intro solo, the outro solo, even the little harmonization.
Watch the first video for a larger explanation about the form of the song and the keys that are used.
I hope you enjoy the lesson as I did making it :)
Cheers!
Ramiro.
