Hey GMC-ers! It's time for the second part of the "New Orb", and this one contains the solo.
This part starts out almost at the same point that the previous lesson ended. Some riffs may be similar to the previous one with a little differences that I'll show you in the smaller parts of the video.Then finally, the solo kicks in.
The solo is a pretty difficult one. It starts out with a chromatic pattern. It's shown in the small parts video slow at first, then slowly sped up, and then at actual speed. Play the pattern twice. All notes are picked up/down.
The following part starts with a chromatic run and follows a diminished arpeggio with added tapping. The last part contains bendings and vibratos. Try to focus on the right intonation.
Techniques:
* Staccato
* Legato
* Hammer-ons
* Pull-offs
* Arpeggios
* Tapping
* Bending
* Vibratos
Practice the patterns slow at first and speed them up only when you feel completely comfortable on the slower tempo. Remember, practice makes perfect, speed comes eventually with time!
Have fun practicing!/ Attila
