inglorious7th November 2010awsome sound!!!
great lesson!!!
Attila Voros8th November 2010Dear Punx85,
You don't (necessery) need a whammy pedal for getting those high harmonics, even though that Dime used that live or even on the record for some tracks...
It's mainly about the "Dime squeals":)
Cheerio,
Attila
moleman23rd July 2011I can't stop watching this. I must have seen it 20 times, and am impressed by each one.
Resolve3rd November 2011Great lesson! Thank you!
P.S. I'd love to see a lesson on another Pantera's song - The Sleep.

Hello GMC'ers! In this lesson I'm going to cover Pantera's "Floods". I'll be covering the solo and outro sections of the song. I tuned my guitar to standard C#. Try to listen and figure out the little nuances and details (vibratos, pinch harmonics etc.) in it. On a technical level it is one of the easier songs, but then again, don’t forget that it is DIMEBAG! The 20th of August was Darrell Lance Abbot's (Dimebag) birthday so I would like to dedicate this lesson to him.
I recorded the lesson with my Line 6 UX1, and I can send the patches for those who’d like get these tones that I’ve used.
